The idea came about after KD stopped manufacturing headlights for Harley Davidson. With a bunch of “Fat Boy” headlights lying around the warehouse, someone proposed that the light be modified for semi-truck use. After a few sketches and a new light bulb design, the swing arm was born.
The current swing arm sets come with ultra-bright replaceable halogen bulbs. They will also accept any 7” round LED headlight on the market today. Either way you choose, they are extremely bright and light the road incredibly well.
